VIDEO: Young Teens Show Off Their Illegal GLOCK Full-Auto Switches

Thu, 09/29/2022 - 12:00

The ATF has been fighting a losing battle against “GLOCK switches” for years now.

It started as yet another illegal import from the likes of Wish.com.

ATF agents were scurrying around trying to chase down buyers of the switches. Back in 2019, they had their hands more than full trying to find he buyers of at least 2900 of the switches.

But thanks to 3D printing, there’s less and less need to resort to Asia for illegal pistol conversion accessories when it’s cheap and easy to produce them right here.

Thu, 09/29/2022 - 10:00

Following the settlement reached between the Sandy Hook families and what remains of the old Remington, victims and families of high profile shootings — usually backed by gun control industry attorneys — now see what they think is a way to skirt the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act. Their new tack is to claim “misleading advertising” somehow convinces would-be killers to buy their firearm and shoot innocent people with it.

Alaska Bans Carrying Guns On Its Ferry Boats…Is That Constitutional?

Wed, 09/28/2022 - 14:00

Recently, I was looking at options for visiting Alaska. It’s a real bucket list item, and I’d like to take an epic trip from Key West to the North Slope in Alaska, from the southernmost point you can drive to in the U.S. to the northernmost point. But I’d like to do something a little more chill on the way back to the lower 48. I want to load my weird car on a ferry and take it easy for a few days on the way down to Seattle.

Jackpot: Texas Couple Find M-16s In Cases Sold As Military Surplus

Tue, 09/27/2022 - 15:00

When you buy government surplus from the military, it’s supposed to be double and triple-checked that nothing “inappropriate” is in the lot that’s being sold. However, for one couple in Texas who buys large quantities of military surplus for resale, they got quite a surprise in cases designed to transport M-16 rifles.

One of the crates — no doubt heavier than the others — contained 12 M-16s…of all things.  Full-auto capable and ready to rock.

Gun Review: Smith & Wesson Model 350 X-Frame Revolver

Tue, 09/27/2022 - 13:00

It didn’t take much imagination to come up with the name. Almost 20 years after Smith & Wesson introduced the X-Frame revolver and the .500 S&W Magnum to the world, Smith has taken a decidedly different turn with the X-tra large wheel gun.

For 2022, they made a middle-bore on the big frame. They call it the Model 350 and chambered it in .350 Legend.

I’m a huge fan of these huge guns and not just because JDub likes ’em thicc.

Prosecutor in ‘Rust’ Movie Set Homicide Moving Towards Potential Criminal Charges for Alec Baldwin

Tue, 09/27/2022 - 11:00

Alec Baldwin has been looking down the barrel of potential criminal charges after he fired a fatal shot on the set of his film “Rust” last year in New Mexico. Baldwin initiated a negligent discharge that killed his Director of Photography Halyna Hutchins and wounded the film’s director Joel Souza.

Now, the local prosecutor, Mary Carmack-Altwies, has asked the state of New Mexico for  special supplemental funding to prosecute “between one and four people,” apparently including Baldwin, over the homicide.

Tue, 09/27/2022 - 10:19

By Travis Loller, AP

A Kentucky man who killed three fellow students and wounded five others when he was 14 years old will have to spend the rest of his life in prison without another opportunity to seek parole, the Kentucky Parole Board voted Monday.

Michael Carneal, now 39, told parole board members last week that he would live with his parents and continue his mental health treatment if they agreed to release him.

Cubans Reject Giffords’ Campaign Stretch Gun Control Push in Florida

Tue, 09/27/2022 - 08:00

Democrats are campaigning differently this year as they aim to connect the party’s priorities to the personal experiences of a group that often feels overlooked in national politics.

The effort comes at a volatile moment for Latinos in Florida. Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis has attracted national attention to immigration after arranging to fly a group of Venezuelans from Texas to Massachusetts’ Martha’s Vineyard as part of a state-funded relocation program for migrants who are in the country illegally.

Bill de Blasio 2.0: New York Mayor Eric Adams Rivals His Predecessor for Fecklessness, Blame-Shifting

Mon, 09/26/2022 - 14:00

New York City’s Mayor Eric Adams is becoming more like his predecessor every day. Mayor Adams campaigned on being a different kind of mayor than Bill de Blasio. One who would tackle the rising crime problem plaguing the city.

Instead, he’s stolen a page from Mayor Bill de Blasio and instead of taking responsibility, he’s lashing out.

Temper tantrums against the firearm industry weren’t a good look for Mayor de Blasio.

BREAKING: 15 Killed, 24 Wounded in Russian School Shooting

Mon, 09/26/2022 - 11:48

“Things like this rarely happen anywhere except in America….”  Or so says Joe Biden, Kamaka Harris and the rest of America’s gun control pimps. Don’t expect today’s tragedy in Russia to merit anything but also-ran coverage. Nevertheless, a lunatic shot and killed 15 people in a school in central Russia and wounded 24 more before killing himself as police approached with one of two handguns he reportedly carried. All but six of the victims were children.

Video Shows Denver Cops Wound 6 Bystanders In Addition to the Bad Guy…Out of 6 Rounds Fired

Mon, 09/26/2022 - 10:00

Denver police officers faced an armed bad guy who drew down on them in the midst of a busy bar crowd at 1:35 a.m. The cops engaged, firing their sidearms, scoring seven hits out of six rounds fired. That represents a remarkable 117% hit rate. The only problem is that six of the seven people who were wounded soaked up rounds meant for the bad guy.

They surely don’t appreciate DPD’s marksmanship skilles, or lack thereof.

Obscure Object of Desire: Sterling 302 .22LR Pistol

Sun, 09/25/2022 - 13:00

How did I find a Sterling 302? Well, it’s a long story. I’ve become a pretty big fan of auctions. Not Gunbroker-style auctions, but real auctions that move in real time.

I have a local firearm auction that I hit up every time they host an auction. I typically aim for historic, largely affordable firearms. Sometimes I see a gun get zero bids and if the price is right, I hit the bid button.

Remember: After a Defensive Gun Use, the Media Is NOT Your Friend [VIDEO]

Sun, 09/25/2022 - 13:00

The mainstream media have a narrative they will project and protect until their dying days when it comes to the average citizen using a gun for self-defense. The best defensive gun uses, the ones that are clean and pure as the wind-driven snow, will be buried at the earliest opportunity. Meanwhile the media will exploit the others for sensationalism value and to further their anti-gun and just-call-911 narratives.

The media especially love to swarm and feed like piranha when the attacker’s family comes out to call foul after their relative has been shot, or if there’s the possibility of exploiting a racial component.

Building The Pig Truth, a .458 SOCOM Hog Hunting Rifle

Sun, 09/25/2022 - 10:00

[ED: Yesterday Jeremy wrote about a recent hot hunt that included his Pig Truth .458 SOCOM AR, a rifle that was purpose-built to reduce the number of pesky piggies that ravage the beautiful Texas landscape. We get occasional questions to this day about that gun, so now seems a good time to re-run Jeremy’s post from the fall of 2018 on what went into the fearsome hog slayer. Enjoy.]

It has been over a year since I wrote about a gun I personally own (and told you that I’d feature more of them), so I’m way overdue in presenting The Pig Truth to y’all.

Texas Border Town Residents Tool Up After ‘Migrant’ Crime Grows

Sat, 09/24/2022 - 13:00

It’s hard to believe that a significant portion of Texas residents aren’t already part of the gun owner community. However, in border towns, the number of those who aren’t gun owners continues to dwindle as Americans there feel increasingly unprotected against surging numbers of illegal aliens streaming through their communities, bringing crime with them.

Residents who are tired of having their dogs killed, being robbed in their homes, and having their outbuildings burglarized are increasingly turning to the great equalizer to protect their families.
