Gear Review: Riton 3 Tactix 1-8×24 LPVO
The low-powered variable optics market is hot and tight. Much like the red dot market, over time, they’ve become the new norm and with mass production, we are seeing an impressive mid-tier of optics arrive. These aren’t quite budget optics, but they also won’t break the bank.
Optics like the Riton 3 Tactix 1-8×24 scope are the kind of optics that will serve 99% of gun owners very, very well.
Riton sent this optic as well as a very nice mount for it to test and review.

At Least David Chipman’s Super-Secret ‘Firearms 101’ Online Course for Everytown Was Entertaining
David Chipman squirmed when the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee grilled him for an “assault weapon” definition. The gun control lobbyist nominated by President Joe Biden to become the Director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) just couldn’t bring himself to come up with one.
“There’s no way I could define an assault weapon,” Chipman finally said.
Nearly a year after President Biden withdrew Chipman’s nomination, he’s finally found a way.

Williams: Strict Gun Law Enforcement Could Reduce Overall Crime and Incarceration Levels
The far left which reflexively opposes any law enforcement focused efforts will argue against “mass incarceration” or as [Philadelphia District Attorney] Larry Krasner says: “replacing the war on drugs with a war on guns.” and “prosecuting illegal gun possession criminalizes poverty.” No doubt poverty and hopelessness contribute to crime and violence, but even Larry can separate the “I am poor and hopeless” group from the “I can do whatever the F*#k I want” group.

Gun Review: Angstadt Arms MDP-9 Pistol
The H&K MP5 has been an icon for over half a century. And for the last 20 years of that, we’ve been hearing about how some new firearm that comes along will be The MP5 Killer, the one to finally wrest away the MP5’s sub-gun supremacy. That hasn’t happened yet.
The Angstadt Arms MDP-9 won’t be the “MP5 Killer.” But it should be.
Hailing from Charlotte, North Carolina, Angstadt Arms has been in business for a little under a decade.

Smith & Wesson’s CEO Returns Anti-Gun Politicians’ Fire
Last month, New York Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney summoned firearms manufacturers to testify before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform committee that she chairs. Ruger CEO Chris Killoy and Daniel Defense’s Marty Daniel appeared and parried, as best they could, the ignorance, misinformation and lies about the guns they make, the companies they run, and the industry of which they are a part.
It was every bit the star chamber affair everyone knew it would be, with committee Democrats attacking both the First and Second Amendments while smearing gun makers with falsehoods and displaying their impressive level of ignorance about the industry and the products gun makers produce.

Moros: The Firearms Industry Should Put Anti-Gunners’ Outrage to Work for Them
New gun-related product that nobody knew about until anti-gunners gave it free advertising just dropped https://t.co/EM6warW2lS

At this point if you make gun-related products and you don’t name your products something that will get the Karens shrieking with free publicity for you, you are being irresponsible.

CNN Tries to Prop Up Their Debunked Source for Misleading Mass Shooting Data
By Lee Williams
In a story published Sunday, CNN was forced to prop up the long debunked Gun Violence Archive, the Washington D.C.-based nonprofit that provides the cable network and other anti-gun groups with sensational, misleading and inaccurate mass-shooting data.
The CNN story states that the Supreme Court Justices who dissented in New York State Rifle and Pistol Association, INC. vs Bruen, cited data from the Gun Violence Archive, or GVA, which falsely claimed there have been 277 mass shootings since the beginning of 2022…an average of one mass shooting per day.

Gun Review: 3-Inch Colt Python .357 Revolver
The new model 3″ Colt Python is the same exceptional revolver as the 4.25″ and 6″ Pythons released in 2020, but with a 3″ barrel. I wasn’t entirely sure that would be the case.
Since Colt re-released the famed Pythons, the American icon was sold to Czech Ceska Zbrojovka Group, aka CZG, or affectionately known around the world simply as CZ.
Lots of people lamented the “fall” of an American firearms manufacturer, but most long-time Colt fans, (and I certainly fit into that category) were happy to see the change.

The Sorry State Of Anti-Gun Business Apps
Mohandas Gandhi supposedly said, “If you want to change the world, start with yourself.” If we want to make the world a better place for the natural human right of self defense, we have to start with ourselves and our own choices, often with the dollars we spend.
Right now, the fight against anti-gun policies in government is going pretty well, especially in he wake of NYSRPA v Bruen. The fight clearly isn’t over — it never will be — but we could be at the beginning of a golden age of gun rights and rollbacks of limits during which law after law falls in the courts.

Durham: We Can’t Take Guns Away From Bad Guys Because That Would Be Gun Control
I’ve heard it said by gun advocates that all that’s needed to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. The idea is that we need more guns, not fewer. We just need them in the hands of the good people.
I doubt that means we are going to take guns away from bad people. That would fall under the heading of gun control.
SAF Sues to Block California’s Ban on Gun Shows Held on Public Property
Part of the post-Bruen anti-gun furies that were unleashed in California was a new law that did what the state had been threatening to do for years. Senate Bill 264, signed into law by the state’s Carnival Barker-in-Chief, Gavin Newsom, banned gun shows on all public property.
That means long-standing shows held at venues like the Orange County Fair and Events Center and the Del Mar Fairgrounds north of San Diego will have to find other private venues or die.
Another Armed Citizen Stops a Crazed Mass Shooter, This Time in Montenegro
By Pedrag Milic, AP
Montenegro declared three days of national mourning Saturday, a day after 10 people, including two children, were killed in a daylight attack by a 34-year-old gunman who police said had recently exhibited a “change in behavior.”
The attacker used a hunting rifle to first shoot to death two children, 8 and 11, and their mother, who lived as tenants in his house in the western city of Cetinje’s Medovina neighborhood.
