Nikolas Cruz to Plead Guilty to Murdering 17 People in Parkland Massacre

The gunman who killed 14 students and three staff members at a Parkland, Florida, high school will plead guilty to their murders, his attorneys said Friday, bringing some closure to a South Florida community more than three years after an attack that sparked a nationwide movement for gun control.
The guilty plea would set up a penalty phase where Nikolas Cruz, 23, would be fighting against the death penalty and hoping for life without parole.
Obscure Object of Desire: The West German JP Sauer Western Marshal .22 Revolver
I officially have two guns that were made in Western Germany, and both wear the Sauer name. My SIG Sauer P220 was the first, which I adore. Now I have a JP Sauer and Sohn revolver. Specifically, a .22LR wheel gun known as the Western Marshal. This Colt SAA replica was imported by Hawes Firearms Company of Los Angeles and I acquired it through my local gun store.
My local gun store is doing a remodel and reorganizing, and along the way the owner, who’s a personal friend, is finding a variety of bizarre guns he’s acquired over time.
Second Amendment Foundation Court Win: Pennsylvania City Can’t Zone Out the Second Amendment

A federal court has granted a preliminary injunction in a case involving zoning restrictions designed to ban a gun range in Robinson Township, Pennsylvania, the Second Amendment Foundation announced.
The case is known as Drummond LLC v. Robinson Township. Plaintiffs in the case are William Drummond, GPGC LLC and SAF. The lawsuit dates back to 2018, when plaintiffs sued the township and Zoning Officer Mark Dorsey, alleging violation of the Second and Fourteenth amendments.
Kentucky AG: Cities Can’t Prevent Employees From Carrying Firearms on the Job
Local municipalities in Kentucky with anti-gun political leaders could not prohibit their employees from not only bringing guns to their workplace in personal vehicles, but from carrying them in the course of their workday. Kentucky’s Attorney General Daniel Cameron released that opinion earlier in the week, based upon various state laws governing local jurisdictions’ ability to regulate firearms.
While the “opinion” lacks the force of law, it reflects the Attorney General’s position if litigation ensues in the matter.
Adios Art: Miami City Council Makes it Official, Fires Art Acevedo

Miami city commissioners unanimously voted Thursday to fire Police Chief Art Acevedo after a short and stormy tenure in which he clashed with city officials and members of his own police force.
The five commissioners took the step following a trial-like hearing in which Acevedo was criticized for offending fellow Cuban-Americans and losing the trust of his officers, while his attorney argued that the city’s politicians wanted him gone because he accused them of corruption.
NYSRPA’s King: The Empire State Isn’t a Huge Gun-Free Zone
New York is arguing the entire Empire State is like a government building and should be a huge gun-free zone where only criminals and the privileged can bear arms. The state then defends its unconstitutional and discriminatory policies by cherry-picking facts from history and ignoring inconvenient truths and common sense.
The brief we filed today emphasizes the fundamental fact that the self-defense rights of law-abiding Americans do not vanish the moment a person steps outside their front door.

3D printing pioneer Jstark worked tirelessly towards two simple goals: freedom of expression, and an individual right to keep and bear arms. News broke recently revealing that, shortly after being raided by German police, he died of cardiac arrest.
The work of Jstark is very hard to completely comprehend unless you’re fairly integrated in the printable gun community. To those in the know, he was an anonymous European with a tough-to-crack accent who was very active and very vocal in the 3D printing community.

Seattle businesses have a problem on their hands. Ongoing political violence from violent Antifa and Black Lives Matter types, coupled with increased criminal violence and vagrants doing drugs and taking dumps in commercial areas has crippled business in the city of Seattle.
The violence has blossomed in part thanks to fewer cops on the job after the local government implemented fashionable “defund the police” policies that were demanded by some residents and plenty of radicals.

Democratic candidate for Virginia governor Terry McAuliffe is proving that once government officials learn they can use a crisis to deny basic freedoms, they’ll find a crisis every time.
McAuliffe has decided that Virginia has a public health crisis when it comes to criminal violence. For him and the rest of Virginia’s gun control politicians, there’s never a problem with rising crime, lack of police resources or willingness to actually prosecute criminals.

Armed Facebook Marketplace XBox Seller Defends Herself Against Attacker Who Tried to Shoot Her
Thousands of Americans shop online marketplaces like Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace every day. Unfortunately, a few listings have armed robbers trolling for potential victims, posing either as sellers or buyers. In Baton Rouge, one woman wanted to sell an XBox on Facebook Marketplace. In doing so, she almost lost her life to an armed robber.
Fortunately her case has a happy ending. Despite the Facebook Marketplace armed robber’s efforts to not only rob her, but kill her, she fought back and survived without physical injury.
Houston Police Bodycam Video Shows Perp Shooting Cops With Illegal Full-Auto GLOCK Switch
We’ve written in the past about illegal full-auto GLOCK switches sold by Chinese knock-off sites like Wish.com. It looks like one of these switches was used in September by a perp who shot and killed one Houston police officer and wounded another.
Fred Milanowski, the special agent in charge of Houston’s ATF division, said Ledet was using a gun with an auto switch. That means he can use his semi-automatic weapon like a mini machine gun.
