Nevada: Guns in Cars School Bill
Imagine having to leave your gun at home because you’re coming to pick up your kids in school and can’t even leave the gun in your car? Sounds horrible, right? That’s why these this bill is so important.
RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) – Nevada lawmakers heard a bill that would potentially allow guns on school campuses and child care facilities if the firearms are inside a car and locked away.
The Judiciary Committee heard Assembly Bill 2 on Wednesday. It is sponsored by Assemblyman John Hambrick.
It’s generally a gross misdemeanor to have a weapon while on the property of a school in Nevada, including inside a car.
AB2 is looking to add a few exceptions to the rule. It’ll make it okay to have a legal firearm inside a car if it’s out of sight.
It’ll be okay if someone is inside the car, but if the gun is unattended, the car must be locked and the gun most be stored in a locked container attached to the car, as described in the bill.
News 4 spoke to students who’ll be affected by the bill. Some aren’t bothered by the idea.
“Yea sure. If it’s not affecting anybody else on campus, if it’s in their car, that’s their personal business,” says Diamond...
Malloy Gets Soft On Crime
Malloy was to give criminals a second chance, too bad the governor of Connecticut doesn’t give the Second Amendment any chance.
NEW HAVEN, Connecticut — Connecticut Gov. Dannel P. Malloy on Tuesday unveiled a series of legislative proposals aimed at giving nonviolent criminal offenders a second chance, including the elimination of mandatory minimum sentences for nonviolent drug offenses.
The Democrat contends it makes more sense, both fiscally and morally, to help nonviolent offenders reintegrate into society rather than return to a life behind bars.
“We cannot perpetually be a punitive society,” Malloy said during an address at Yale Law School. “We have to do better in Connecticut.”
Malloy, a former prosecutor, said he wants to reclassify the possession of illegal drugs as a misdemeanor unless there is evidence the person intends to sell or deal drugs. In recent years, Malloy said about a dozen states, including South Carolina, California, Arkansas and Georgia, have reduced criminal penalties for drug possession. Malloy also wants to eliminate mandatory minimum sentences for drug possession in Connecticut, but still give judges the discretion to impose a range of sentences.
Malloy’s latest proposals, dubbed...
The 2nd Amendment: The Last Wall of Defense
Here’s a brilliant letter to the editor:
With President Obama’s ever-increasing tyrannical power, what with free everything, from health care, food stamps for 50 million, disability (13 million and growing), subsidized housing and now free college, I thought the only thing missing was a “people’s car” — a free car for the entitlement generation that believes it’s a basic right.
A people’s car, or volkswagen, would be reminiscent of the recent past and the atrocities committed in the name of national socialism. That’s today’s Democratic Party.
It’s so easy when you have unlimited credit and you have no conscience. Sell out the future of America for a vote today.
America is certainly ripe for Obama’s fundamental transformation. Our children are taught nothing of the Constitution, spend vast amounts of time on their electronic devices, along with their parents, and are expelled from school if they raise their hand in the shape of a gun and go “bang.”
I cringe when I hear grown men discussing under-inflated footballs while unmentionable religions in faraway places are teaching their children to use firearms and kill. Meanwhile, our state legislators do everything they possibly can to disarm the public in the name of safety. The Second Amendment be damned...
Piss Off PETA with the Eliminator III
Love the name, “The Eliminator,” from Burris. I guess “The Terminator” was taken. Love also the beauty of this ad, I mean, this hunter is super human, he’s walking on an edge with a ram’s head on his back. I don’t know if he’s on Facebook, but if he is, I want to Like him even if he doesn’t care about getting likes. Sorry PETA, real men eat meat, and sometimes kill it themselves. Wussies cry over dead creatures.

Another Gun-In-Purse Shooting
Women like to keep everything in their purse, but this is the second gun-in-purse shooting story I hear about. The first one took place at Walmart:
Toddler shoots father, pregnant mother at New Mexico motelDead Teachers Pay No Dues
In North Dakota, the teacher’s unions and other representatives are speaking against armed teachers:
“Frankly, I am appalled that there are people who actually think we should equip school personnel with guns,” Jon Martinson, executive director of the North Dakota School Boards Association, told the House Education Committee, which act on either bill.
House Bill 1195 – similar to a bill that lawmakers shot down in 2013 – would allow a Class 1 concealed weapons license holder to carry a concealed firearm on school property with permission from the governing body of the public or private school.

Arm Victims of Domestic Violence
Here’s an anti-gun meme I found today:
So what are you doing, Ms. Victim? Why aren’t you buying your own gun, packing a bag, getting out of that house? Call the cops! His speech could constitute a threat.
The truth is he doesn’t need his gun to make you disappear. Men are usually stronger than women, the strongest female bodybuilder will never be as strong as the strongest male bodybuilder. So if your husband wants to make you disappear, it seems to me you should disappear before he gets his chance.
