FAYETTEVILLE, GA (CBS46) –

A security guard working at a Bank of America accidentally shot herself Friday while in the building.

The incident occurred at 12:30 p.m. at the Bank of America on Highway 314 and New Hope Road in Fayetteville.

Fayetteville is about 22 miles south of Downtown Atlanta.

A spokesperson with Fayetteville police said that the security guard supervisor shot herself in the leg with another security guard’s gun while doing an inspection.

The shooting occurred in a break room and was away from customers, according to police.

The guard was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. Police said that charges are not anticipated at this time.
