Shoot A Leg

Mon, 01/19/2015 - 23:53

Ladies, if you don’t have a gun, stay with an armed relative.

CLEVELAND — A man was taken to the hospital Monday afternoon after attacking his estranged wife, according to authorities.

Cleveland police said it happened in the 1700 block of Alcoy Road. WKYC was told it was a report of domestic violence.

The woman had been at home when her ex-husband shows up and starts attacking her. The man eventually gets shot in the leg by two relatives. One of them fled the scene, while the other turned in the gun and was taken into questioning.

The man is being treated at the MetroHealth Medical Center for his gunshot wound.

Black Hills Ammo Testimonial

Sun, 01/18/2015 - 19:17

A testimonial ad features a quote from a celebrity, authority figure, or common individual. Some quotes are paid for, some are unpaid. Sometimes the copywriter writes the quote themselves, other times the quotes are edited from the actual person.

So whether you believe Jacob Bettsworth or not is up to you. I’m not calling him a liar, I’m just saying that when you’re good at something and a company tells you: “we’ll pay you $50,000 to appear in our ads,” it’s pretty hard to say no.

Of course, if Jacob told a gun magazine that he’s done great with Black Hills ammo before they paid him a penny, then his statement has a lot of credibility.

Good Cocked: Amazon’s Dramedy Is Awesome

Sat, 01/17/2015 - 19:20

Amazon’s Cocked is an excellent show, a fair and balanced comedy about a family that owns a gun company.

Family is like a loaded gun. A corporate lapdog is forced to return home to Virginia to save his family’s struggling gun business, much to the horror of his liberal family, and his playboy older brother who never left. Hilarity, epic fights and meltdowns ensue in this dramedy.

Republican Snyder Vetoes Gun Bill

Fri, 01/16/2015 - 10:54

Suppose you break up with your girlfriend and she gets a restraining order against you out of spite, according to Snyder, you no longer qualify for a concealed carry license. I guess getting reelected is more important than respecting the letter of the 2nd Amendment.

LANSING, Mich. – Republican Gov. Rick Snyder vetoed a rewrite of a Michigan gun law Thursday, objecting to a provision that would have let some people who have personal protection orders taken out against them still obtain concealed pistol licenses.

Snyder had faced mounting pressure to rebuff the bills from female leaders as well as gun control advocates and groups that work against domestic violence. The governor wrote to lawmakers that the measures could have increased the risks of violence and intimidation toward victims of domestic abuse. He said people who seek protection orders may not know to ask a judge for gun restrictions.

The governor later told reporters that while he agreed with many other parts of the legislation, the provision involving protection orders may have been an “unintended consequence” overlooked in the waning hours of December’s lame-duck legislative session.

“I didn’t feel comfortable signing these bills with the possibility that people...

Don’t Blame Whites for Blacks Killing Blacks

Wed, 01/14/2015 - 22:19

The Violence Policy Center, an anti-gun group, has released a new study. Tennessee apparently had lots of blacks killing other blacks. I know, shocker.

Tennessee ranked 10th highest in the country in 2012 for homicides among the state’s black population.

The study says about 22 out of every 100,000 black people were killed in a homicide, compared to a national average of 4.5 people per 100,000, of any race, killed in a homicide.
