Reminder: Good Guys Don’t Always Win Gunfights
The best way to win a gunfight remains to avoid one. We would all do well to remember that good guys sometimes don’t come out on top when the lead flies. Such was the case in Louisville where Jason Spencer, 30, was walking with his new bride after returning from their honeymoon back in 2017. As they walked, a pair of armed robbers announced a hold-up, and Mr. Spencer pulled a gun in self-defense. He shot 15-year-old Travon Curry, but the two predators shot and killed him.

Gun Review: Springfield Armory SA-35 9mm Pistol
You might wonder why a company would introduce a new version of a discontinued pistol that wasn’t selling particularly well? The Browning Hi Power was becoming too expensive to be competitive at its price. You would have to think hard whether the pistol was worth the money compared to something like a SIG P226, Beretta 92 or CZ 75 9mm.
At the same time, nothing else is quite like a Hi Power. And collectors, shooters and niche pistol sales don’t always climb the logic ladder.

We’ve written about the DC Project here before and featured op-eds from the organization’s new Jersey Director, Theresa Inacker. Portland Antifa Picks Fight With Bikers, Then Blame Police When They’re Shot [VIDEO]
Imagine the irony when the very same violent Antifa militants who spent the last two years promoting “Defund the Police” now blame those same police for not protecting them when their intended victims fight back.
Antifa in Portland apparently tried their bully tactics on the Gypsy Jokers motorcycle club over the weekend and things turned — surprise! — violent. In the end, with one dead and five more wounded (video), police try to put together just what happened.

Bail Reform Follies: Florida Man Released on $355 Bail After Shooting at Vehicles in 4 Separate Road Rage Incidents
A Florida man — no, not that Florida Man — was released after posting a whopping $355 bond in Orange County after shooting into four vehicles in separate road rage incidents in the past couple of months. He’s back on the street after nearly killing people over anger management issues for less than the price of a good coffee maker.
Cops had been looking for him since December in the shots-fired incidents where he tried to kill fellow drivers and their passengers.
FPC: California’s Proposed Gun Control Schemes Are Modern Day Jim Crow Laws
California Governor Gavin Newsom and Attorney General Rob Bonta held a press conference yesterday to boast about the state’s latest attacks on fundamental human rights. In response, the Firearms Policy Coalition (FPC) issued the following statement:
The State of California continues to seek new lows in its long-running campaign to assault fundamental human rights and the peaceable people who exercise them. This time, Gavin Newsom, who loves to issue mandates he himself doesn’t bother to follow, was joined by other elitist authoritarians to announce a new barrage of attacks on the rights to keep and bear arms and free speech, among others.

Social Justice: Would-Be Louisville Assassin Bailed Out By Black Lives Matter
Louisville residents were rocked earlier this week by the attempted assassination of a Democrat mayoral candidate. The alleged would-be assassin, Quintez Brown, is an avid gun control advocate and Black Lives Matter activist. He was honored by President Obama three years ago for his “social justice” activism, too. Two days after police say he nearly succeeded in murdering Craig Greenberg, the local Black Lives Matter chapter put up the $100,000 needed to spring him from jail.
