Kansas FIND Act Financial Anti-Discrimination Bill to Be Heard in a Key Senate Committee

Thu, 02/17/2022 - 16:00

[ED: Texas enacted the FIND Act in 2021 in response to big banks’ anti-gun policies. Money center banks like Bank of America, Citibank, JP Morgan Chase and others had put lending and underwriting policies in place that explicitly discriminated against lawful gun industry-related businesses. Once signed into law, Texas’s FIND Act has forced a change in some of those banks’ policies and a number of other states are considering bills of their own. Now a similar bill is under consideration in Kansas.]

How to Empower Your Fellow Americans, Not Enslave Them

Thu, 02/17/2022 - 14:00

Make no mistake that everything government is engaged in today, from legislation to regulation, is almost always about control, not freedom, liberty, or innovation. It’s about controlling people, not empowering them.

“When I feel the heat, I see the light,” said life-long Illinois politician Everett Dirksen.

Given how quickly the “follow the science” crowd has changed their tune on mask and vaccine mandates, you’d think they must be feeling some heat, right?

That’s a Dozen, Cousin…TTAG is 12 Years Old Today

Thu, 02/17/2022 - 09:00

The truth about guns is that the fight to defend the right to purchase own, carry and use them never ends. That’s because America a dedicated, well-financed industry of lobbyists, advocates, and zealots whose job it is to limit and — they hope, one day — eliminate the right to keep and bear arms in these United States.

Fortunately, most of the country still disagrees with that stance.

It’s almost as if the more things change, the more they stay the same.

Beto: I Still Totally Want to Take Your AR-15, But I Can’t Say That During the Campaign

Thu, 02/17/2022 - 08:00

“The comment about guns is going to be his biggest problem,” said Holly Gage, 40, who arrived at the Tyler park early with her family. “My husband is on the fence. It’s due to the gun thing.”

“Texas,” added her mother, Sheila Thrash, 63, “believes in its guns.”

Mr. O’Rourke’s presidential campaign shadows his run for governor, complicating his effort to present himself as a pragmatic, there-for-you Texan who embraces responsible gun ownership and wants to win over moderate voters.

Gun Review: Springfield Hellcat RDP Micro 9mm Pistol

Wed, 02/16/2022 - 16:00

By Mike Hardesty

I’m a fan of Springfield Armory’s guns for the most part. I get it – they made some poor political choices in the past and alienated a number of gun owners. But, that was then and this is now. I’ve owned several SA pistols over the years and have reviewed even more. I have always been impressed with their firearms, and the ones made in Croatia are top-notch.

So it was with great expectations that I awaited the Hellcat RDP.

New York Mayor Targets the Poor, Minorities in Bus Station Gun Sweeps

Wed, 02/16/2022 - 14:00

“It’s just a random check. We’re not going to profile people.” That’s how New York City Mayor Eric Adams tried to ease the concerns of those who’d just heard his latest plan for fighting the plague of violent crime in Gotham. As part of his comprehensive Blueprint for Ending Gun Violence, Hizzoner is going to have Port Authority police begin random luggage checks of bus passengers coming into the city.

This is the same city that shut down its Street Crimes Unit of the NYPD over civil liberties concerns surrounding the “stop-and-frisk” searches and arrests they made.

Building the Ultimate Subsonic Suppressed 338BR Rifle [VIDEO]

Wed, 02/16/2022 - 12:00

By Mike Semanoff

For years I was of the belief that working with non-standard or wildcat cartridges was a waste of time. With so many great high performance cartridges on the market, why would anyone want to deal with the inconveniences of fully custom rounds? The increase in performance is hardly worth the hassle of limited commercially available ammo and having to create custom reamers and dies. That is, until I went down the rabbit hole of shooting subsonic .338 rounds through my Thunderbeast 338BA suppressor.

‘The Hill’ Opts for a Clickbait Headline Over Science in Lead Ammunition Study Article

Wed, 02/16/2022 - 10:00

By Larry Keane

The handwringing over the use of traditional ammunition is reaching a fever pitch. Animal rights groups grabbed on to a recently-published study by The Wildlife Society to again press for conservation policy changes that would ban the use of traditional lead-based ammunition for hunting in America.

Their evidence appears to be based on the study’s abstract that hypothesized that the use of traditional ammunition is hampering the recovery of the American bald eagle population.

Would-Be Assassin of Louisville Mayoral Candidate on Gun Control, ‘Gun Violence’ and Resistance

Wed, 02/16/2022 - 08:00

Politicians and lobbyists will continue to push the narrative of socialists, criminal brown immigrants and unlawful black thugs as long as it persuades you to maintain their white capitalist patriarchy masked as a democracy.

They’ve had the power and resources to reduce gun violence and enact common-sense gun reform, and they’ve yet to do so. And they never will as long as it benefits them in some way.

The Parkland Shooting Was Proof Positive That Gun Control Doesn’t Work

Mon, 02/14/2022 - 16:00

The shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School was a tragic event. Particularly so in that could have been prevented. Not prevented by enacting more gun control laws. It could have been prevented by the proper administration and application of law enforcement and school administration.

But since the shooting four years ago, those who so clearly failed to do their jobs that day and in the years before have laid the blame for the massacre on law-abiding gun owners and the inanimate object the killer used.
