Gun Review: Smith & Wesson M&P 12 Shotgun
One of the bigger surprises of 2021 was the release of the Smith & Wesson M&P 12 gauge shotgun. S&W has been out of the shotgun game for a long time, and the company didn’t just toss a basic pump-action scattergun into their product line and call it a day. They released a dual tube bullpup pump-action shotgun that traces its lineage to the O.G. dual tube shotgun, the KelTec KSG.
Smith & Wesson’s timing was perfect since tactical shotguns are having a bit of a revival these days with increased concerns over crime and personal defense.

Armed Security Guard With Multiple Outstanding Warrants Kills Bystander While Shooting At a Suspect Over a Block Away
Chicago’s cesspool of violence worsens by the day. Sadly, even the innocent serve as backstops for bad guys’ errant shots on a regular basis in America’s largest open-air shooting gallery. Among the latest victims; Bobbye Johnson, a 55-year-old grandmother who was hit by an armed security guard’s errant round fired from four blocks away.
The liquor store security guard had opened fire on a suspect who was over a block away at the time after an altercation.

Enforcement of Washington’s ‘High Capacity’ Magazine Ban is a Danger to Minority Communities
Sharyn Hinchcliffe, a civil rights advocate, was at the rally to represent the nonpartisan Seattle and Tacoma “Pink Pistols” Chapter.
The organization started as a group to train those in the LGBTQ community to learn how to shoot guns, as well as raise awareness that people in those communities are able and trained to shoot.
The all-inclusive organization now provides safety information and firearms training for anyone who wants it.

GUN SEIZURE: Calera, AL Police Take a High-End, Custom-Crafted Weapon Off the Streets
On Tuesday afternoon, the city of Calera, Alabama Police Department posted news of a firearm bust that’s sure to make firearm collectors weep. A suspicious individual, or so the cops there say, was carrying a high-end, custom handgun. The man, unable to present a valid carry license, was taken into custody for interrogation and temporary accommodation at the local graybar hotel.
His custom-made work of ballistic art? Cops snapped a photo of it and posted it on Facebook along with a cheeky explanation.

One of the keys to passing the Brady Bill and other landmark gun safety legislation was building a wide-ranging coalition that ran the gamut from victims to police officers. It is time to take the next, crucial step in widening that coalition to include gun owners. Imagine gun owners testifying before a congressional committee, calling upon their senators to pass legislation and joining gun safety groups at rallies.
