The Truth About Guns

BREAKING: California’s ‘High Capacity’ Magazine Ban Ruled Unconstitutional Under Bruen
If you’ll remember, back in 2017, Judge Roger Benitez struck down California’s ban on standard capacity magazines the state had arbitrarily ruled to be “high capacity.” That ruling was, of course, overturned by an en banc Ninth Circuit ruling. The case was then appealed to the Supreme Court where it sat until Bruen was decided.
After Bruen, the Supreme Court granted cert, vacated the ruling, and remanded it for reconsideration.
How Did Philadelphia Sheriff Rochelle Bilal ‘Lose’ at Least 76 Service Weapons?
It’s entertaining when the Mexican government chirps up, complaining about weapons that flow across their northern border (frequently facilitated by US government agencies). Sure, the drug cartels that actually run our neighbor to the south find ways to move acquire firearms up here and move them south, but when your own military “loses” about one-third of their guns they’ve been entrusted with, the Mexican regime doesn’t have a lot of room to talk.
Which brings us to…Philadelphia.
New From 21st Tec: AR10-based 7.62x39mm AK Magazine Rifles
Plenty of folks have shoehorned the 7.62x39mm round, made famous by the AK-47, into AR-15 platform rifles. Most of those use a unique version of the AR-15 magazine rather than AK mags.
Georgia-based 21st Tec has just released an AR-10 chambered in x39 that accepts effectively every standard AK-47 magazine available. They say it’s stronger and more reliable than AR-15-based x39 guns, and it does have some unique features.

How I spent my Summer Vacation: The Season of the AR Builds, Part III
[ED: This is the last in a three-part series. Read the first article HERE.]
Although most of my summer was spent doing retro or retro-inspired AR builds, I had enough time for a few more modern builds as well.
Something New
My first build started a little before the summer actually, and was the result of looking in my parts bin and figuring out what I could do with it.
What the Gun Control Industry Will Never Understand About the Second Amendment Community
If I made a list of things anti-gunners didn’t understand, it would start with our basic Civil Rights and end with how to use toilet paper. Ultimately, I couldn’t list everything they don’t get, especially about guns, short of writing an entire book.
I want to cover something here that’s not often talked about and maybe even something most pro-gun folks don’t recognize as a benefit of the Second Amendment. That benefit is community.
Hawaii Desperate to Overturn Butterfly Knife Ruling That Threatens Gun Control Laws
By Chuck Michel
The State of Hawaii filed a petition on Wednesday seeking en banc review of a Ninth Circuit panel’s ruling in Teter v. Lopez. While that ruling was limited in scope, declaring Hawaii’s ban on butterfly knives to be unconstitutional, the panel’s correct application of the Supreme Court’s ruling in Bruen and the standards it set for evaluating Second Amendment challenges to gun control laws has implications that extend well beyond butterfly knife cases and well beyond Hawaii.
Footage Shows Heroic Cop Drag Wounded Officer to Safety While Under Heavy Fire [VIDEO]
Louisville Police released bodycam video Wednesday showing the September 7th shooting of Officer Brandon Haley. He took a round in the lower chest after he came under fire from a residence near a traffic stop.
Police believe occupants of the house which was chock full of guns and illegal drugs opened fire on the officer in an attempted ambush.
A second officer, Colin Billotto, arrived seconds later and was also fired upon.
Israeli Police Encourage Licensed Gun Owners to Carry During High Holidays
Police on Monday encouraged licensed gun owners to carry their weapons to synagogues over the High Holiday period, as the security establishment registered a rise in terror alerts in the lead-up to the Yom Kippur fast day.
Police said in a statement that there has been a 15 percent increase in terror warnings compared to the two months before the holidays and that security forces were at a heightened alert level due to the threats.

David Reidman: Some Cops Can’t Shoot, So Let’s Keep America’s Teachers Disarmed
This ain’t the own this moron thinks it is.
How well is an armed teacher gonna do? Better. Because they are highly motivated at the time to not die.
This is more a commentary on modern LE training and tactics than on the viability of CCW. Especially when you consider the… https://t.co/dRlQ8BaeFZ

It’s Impossible for Joe Biden to Crack Down on Gun Rights Enough to Satisfy Dems and the Gun Control Industry
Wish they may, wish they might – gun control Democrats in Congress are still holding out hope President Joe Biden will deliver their biggest wish. What they shouldn’t be holding is their breath.
More than 60 antigun Democrats from the U.S. House and U.S. Senate sent a scathing letter to the president imploring him to “leverage the full power of the executive branch” and implement more gun control.
The problem is Pres.

New Mexico’s ‘Gun Violence’ Public Health Emergency Is Still Extra Super Ultra Important
I was honored to be invited to participate in this year’s U.S. Business Day in Taiwan. New York’s New Ammunition Background Check System is the Disaster Everyone Knew It Would Be
By Lee Williams
If you want to buy a box of shotgun shells or even .22 LR anywhere in New York state, be prepared for a bevy of personal questions, a background check that includes a $2.50 fee, and a long wait.
A new state law went into effect last week, which requires ammunition retailers – who must all be licensed by the state – to conduct background checks through the State Police of all ammunition purchasers.
Strategy Shift: SAF & Gottlieb Move Their Suit Against Washington AG Ferguson to State Court
The Second Amendment Foundation and founder Alan Gottlieb have moved their civil rights lawsuit against Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson from federal court to Washington State court in a move the plaintiffs hope will bring a speedier resolution to their case.
“We believe we will do better in the state courts, considering Ferguson’s loss before the state Supreme Court earlier this year in the long-running Value Village case,” said SAF founder and Executive Vice President Alan M.
