The Truth About Guns

Uncle Mike’s Introduces Premium Leather Holsters and Gun Belts
Uncle Mikes has been around since the late 1940’s and in recent decades they’re been best known for their affordable nylon and polymer holsters and firearms accessories. Now they’re jumping into leather gun belts and holsters, but it looks like they’re keeping the affordable part of their business model intact.
They’re teaming up with OLG Licensing, the parent group of 1791 Gunleather, and offering IWB and OWB holsters in a variety of sizes for both revolvers and auto pistols, with options for optics mounted handguns.
Have You Seen The Ultra-Sophisticated Warplane the US Government Has Misplaced?
Have you seen this missing piece of US government property? The United States Marine Corps has misplaced one like-new F-35B Lightning fighter plane and is asking for the public’s help in locating it.
This is the same United States government, by the way, that thinks you should undergo an extensive background check, submit your finger prints, pay a special tax, and wait an indeterminate period of time if the barrel on your rifle is less than 16 inches in length.
Optic Review: Leupold BX4 Range HD 10x42mm Rangefinding Binoculars
Jacques Jordaan was giddy. The normally stoic professional hunter was grinning ear to ear and texting his friends like a middle school girl. Every bit of his elation was justified. I had just given my trusted PH a set of Leupold’s brand new BX4 Range HD 10×42 Rangefinding Binoculars and he was very, very pleased.
For this safari, Jacques took me away from his gorgeous Free State property that bordered the hills of Lesotho and instead met up with William Hayward of Doornrivier Safaris in the eastern edge of the Succulent Karoo Desert in South Africa’s Eastern Cape.
GOA Lawsuit Forces ATF to Back Down, Restore North Dakota Gun Store’s FFL
Gun Owners of America (GOA) and the Gun Owners Foundation (GOF) are excited to announce that the ATF has backed down from attempting to revoke the FFL license of Morehouse Enterprises in Valley City, North Dakota.
Previously, GOA and GOF had filed a lawsuit in defense of the gun retailer, which does business as Bridge City Ordnance. The company was facing the loss of its license due to minor paperwork errors, which under the new Biden “Zero Tolerance” policy, was grounds for revocation.
French: Hunter Biden May Benefit From a Time of Second Amendment Legal Chaos
The result [of the Bruen decision], quite simply, has been legal chaos. The history of gun regulation is not so neat and clean as to yield easy historical parallels to the questions at issue today; American legal doctrine has developed considerably since the colonial and Reconstruction eras. As a result, unless the government can draw a bright line between history and the present day, its gun control measures are in mortal legal peril.
The federal court rulings after Bruen have been dramatic.
Just Deserts: New Mexico Governor Grisham’s Authoritarian Power-Grab Has Crashed and Burned
By Rob Morse
What do you do when bad political decisions get set into dogma? If you’re a Democrat politician, then you ignore the facts and blame the people that your donors love to hate. That’s exactly what we saw play out as a result of the violence in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
To start, violent crime has been surging in Albuquerque for years. The first rule of politics is that you can’t appear powerless or irrelevant.
ANJRPC Pursuades State of New Jersey to Revise its Ludicrous Carry Training Requirements
The Association of New Jersey Rifle and Pistol Clubs has some good news . . .
After extensive discussions with ANJRPC, the State of New Jersey has issued revised carry training requirements addressing nearly all gun owner objections and concerns. The newly revised requirements eliminated any demonstration of tactical maneuvers, eliminated a demonstration of shooting proficiency at 25 yards, significantly extended the compliance date for current permit holders to requalify, and eliminated inappropriate content from the use of force instructional materials.
How Do We Get Open-Minded Non-Gun Owners to Buy Their First Firearm?
About two-thirds of adults report that they don’t own firearms (assuming those who respond to surveys are telling the truth). Of those who don’t own a gun, Pew Research reported last week that 52% say they’ll never own one. That’s OK. Guns aren’t for everyone. If you don’t want one, live long and prosper…just don’t try to tell the rest of us we can’t be gun owners.
On the other end of the scale, Pew also reports that significant percentages of the non-gun owning cohort in all demographic groups can see themselves becoming gun owners.

A New York City councilmember said that she carries a pistol around with her for protection because she is worried about crime in the city, including attacks based on prejudice.
“With anti-semitism, it doesn’t feel safe in the city anymore. You’re always on edge and watching your back,” Brooklyn councilwoman Inna Vernikov told The New York Post.

New Mexico AG to Governor on Defending Her Second Amendment Suspension: Drop Dead
There are now six lawsuits (and counting) challenging New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham’s public health order suspending Second Amendment carry rights in the Bernalillo County and the city of Albuquerque. While literally no local authorities are willing to enforce her clearly unconstitutional diktat, Grisham is still claiming that the New Mexico State Police will do her dirty work.
The State Police, however, have remained strangely silent on the matter and no one has been cited for any violations.
If You Still Need a Reason to Vote, Just Look at New Mexico
From the CCRKBA . . .
The clearly unconstitutional edict against lawful firearms carry in Albuquerque and surrounding Bernalillo County, New Mexico by Democrat Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham is a stark reminder to all Second Amendment citizens they must register to vote, and then make sure they do vote to keep people with ideas like this out of public office, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms said today.
Firearms Policy Coalition Files Its Lawsuit Against New Mexico’s Authoritarian Governor
Firearms Policy Coalition (FPC) announced today that it has filed a new Second Amendment lawsuit challenging New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham’s executive order banning firearm carry in Bernalillo County and Albuquerque. The complaint and motion for a temporary restraining order in Fort v. Grisham can be viewed at FPCLaw.org.
“This restriction is in flagrant violation of Plaintiffs’ right to carry firearms in public for self-defense, a right that has been clearly established by the United States Supreme Court,” argues the complaint.

Joining SAF are the New Mexico Shooting Sports Association, Firearms Policy Coalition and a private citizen, Zachary Fort, who resides in Bernalillo County.
Gun Meme of the Day: ATF Impersonator Edition
I know it says cop, but it means “ATF agent,” obviously. In the original version of this meme that I saw a while ago, the kid replies with “I’m a police” instead of this much more offensive version and instead of saying what he was supposed to haha.

New York’s SAFE Act and Red Flag Laws Put Up Legal Barriers to Mental Healthcare in the State
Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and the Democrat-dominated state legislature took the opportunity presented by the Sandy Hook school shooting and rammed through an abomination of a gun control bill — literally in the middle of the night — they laughably called the New York SAFE Act.
The bill — like all such legislation — was passed with accompanying huzzahs and great promises that this would be what the state of New York needed to finally do something about its “gun violence” problem and save countless lives.
Another Online Sale Meet-Up Gone Bad…Michigan CPL Holder Shoots out 16-Year-Old Attacker
How many times have we seen this before? A phony Facebook Marketplace transaction that turned out to be set-up for a robbery. Thinking back, there was this one. Oh and this one, too. They’re hardly unusual.
This latest incident took place in the Detroit suburb of Warren . . .
According to Warren police, officers were dispatched to the parking lot outside the gym just after 8 p.m. Sept. 6 in response to reports of shots fired.
How I Spent My Summer Vacation: AR-15 Rifle Builder Edition, Part Deux
[ED: This is the second in a three-part series. Read the first article HERE.]
If you read my first post on how I spent my summer vacation, you know I built a few rifles. But that was just part of my summer production. I still had time and parts on hand so . . .
After I got my H&R lower and swapped it out, I had my old gray Nodak Spud lower free, so I figured I may as well make use of that as well.
