Rebranding Classifications – 144
This week we discuss how the shooting sports could rebrand the classification systems to better bring in new shooters. This topic was totally ripped off inspired by a poster “GuanoLoco” in this thread on the Doodie Project forum. He’s spot on.

...Things We Wish We Knew When We Started – 143
This weeks episode was inspired by a question sent in by a friend who just recently had his 3rd anniversary in competitive shooting. He asked what we would change, or what we wish we had known early on in our competitive shooting careers. It spurred an interesting discussion.
...Farwell, Dudes
It appears the fellow gun podcasters, and the guys that I consider to be the OG’s of gun podcasts, the Gun Dudes, are hanging up their microphones after 340 episodes.
Long before I ever had the thought to start a podcast, I was a podcast listener. When I first started listening to podcasts, I listened to Jack Spirko’s The Survival Podcast, and The Gun Dudes. After recording over 180 episodes of my own shows, I still listen to both of them.
I can’t say that I’ve listened to every episode of the Gun Dudes podcast, but I’d bet I’ve heard the majority of them. I’ll miss the laughs, guys.
Farwell, dudes. Carry on.

Guns and Booze – 142
This week we have a discussion about guns and booze. Last week sometime I posted this picture on the Triangle Tactical Facebook page, and there was an interesting discussion that took place. Some folks said that the guy should have his permit taken away and be locked up since it looks like he has a tall boy in front of him. Other folks made the point that only one drink isn’t really enough to impair someone, so maybe total abstinence from alcohol isn’t the right approach, or maybe it is? You decide.
...How Do You Deal With Shooting in the Heat?

Is it Hard to Shoot USPSA and IDPA?
Today’s question comes in from Alex in Canada. He asked the question on Reddit:
Is it hard to do the mental switch in rules and how to run the stages from USPSA to IDPA? The whole reloading only at slide lock, using cover, etc.
I’ve only ever done IPSC but there’s a local club that does IDPA and I’ve been meaning to try it out. Afraid that it’ll throw out my IPSC game though.
This episode was sponsored by The Blue Bullets.
