Congrats Texans! Despite the best efforts from some supposedly pro-gun OC groups in the state, you still managed to get an open carry bill through the legislature.

My question is: Will the Texas OC groups go away now?

A couple weeks ago in the “Plug of the Week” on the podcast we plugged Mike Seeklander’s new podcast called the American Warrior Show. In the most recent episode Mike interviews a man named Charl Van Wyk who took on 3 active shooters. Van Wyk had a 5 shot .38spcl revolver, and he was successful in ending the attack on the church against shooters with automatic rifles, grenades, and bombs.

When is it time to consider having a backup gun or having one or multiple practice guns and then a separate match gun or two? I don’t think this applies to the “anti-competitors”, but is for the people who practice and are fairly serious.

Over the weekend a video appeared (and subsequently seems to have been scrubbed from the internet) of a competitor safely dumping his pistol in a dump bucket that was resting on a blue barrel during a 3-gun stage, and as he moved from the position the dump bucket fell off of the barrel allowing the pistol to tumble out, earning the shooter a disqualification from the match.

Question: What fiber optic front sight and black rear is recommended for a Glock 34 for POA=POI at 20-25 yards? I’m interested in knowing what brand and front aight height measurement.

Also, I know you’ve used a G34 and Ben uses an M&P Pro. Can you guys do a comparison between the two?

Miguel posted an article about a doctor that was involved in a defensive shooting this past weekend, who per some reports was on his way to the Mississippi Classic USPSA match. When the victim was attacked, his pistol was in his range bag. Luckily he was able to get to the pistol and get to work on the bad guys shortly thereafter.

So in the past year or so, the folks at GADPA, a large Atlanta-area organization that oversees multiple matches, broke away from IDPA and announced they were writing their own rulebook. Well, it’s finally here and… well… I can’t say I’m eager to shoot a GADPA match.
