This gives all new meaning to the term ‘shooting dice’ (VIDEO)
Taofledermaus and Edwin Sarkissian trekked out to the swamp for a game of dice, propelled via 12 gauge shotgun shell.
While old school die were made from bone, ivory or similar material, today’s standard cube dice are made through injection molding, generally of thermoset plastic. This makes them pretty hard but, due to the nature of the beast, fairly light.
So, when glued together and slid into a low brass shotgun hull, they fly pretty straight and keep their form in TFM’s tests, but come up snake eyes in the end.
Warning: Graphic gummy bear violence.

Can a POF 416 make it through 416 rounds before it melts down? (VIDEO)
The hardworking gang over at IV8888 give one of Patriot Ordnance Factory’s P416 select-fire piston guns a chance to heat up in their melt-down challenge.
The band of Georgia gunsmiths grabbed the fun-button enabled P416 for their latest test, stoking it with Magpul D-60s and PMAGS until it just wouldn’t go cyclic anymore.
Speaking of cyclic, the gun’s rate of fire seems to run out of steam after about three minutes on full Freedom, then come the jams.
How many rounds did they get off in the end and what was the failure point? Watch the video. It gets kind of impressive. Like (spoiler) 2,500 rounds in 20 minutes and sill kicking.

Trick shots while blindfolded: Kirsten Joy Weiss is still accurate in the dark (VIDEO)
Steel plates vs. .22 isn’t much of a problem, so why not drop the blast shield and let The Force guide you?
Of course it’s Kirsten Joy Weiss, the zen yoga master of the trick shooting world, and she has a clear, safe range and a custom .22– so keep that in mind before you try it in your own stomping grounds.

Florida felon gets five years in prison for gun possession
A Florida man will spend five years in federal prison for possessing a firearm as a felon, the Justice Department announced last week.
A federal jury convicted Michael Kelly, 29, of Largo, Florida, in June of felony possession of a firearm.
According to court documents, FBI agents executing a search warrant at Kelly’s home found a loaded Taurus PT1111 semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9mm along with 150 rounds of ammo.
Kelly, who was arrested in October 2015, has prior felony convictions including possession of a sawed-off shotgun and aggravated assault. Federal law prohibits felons from possessing firearms.
U.S. District Judge Susan C. Bucklew sentenced Kelly to five years and 10 months in federal prison.

Exotic shotgun slugs v. bullet (resistant) glass (VIDEO)
The 12 gauge specialists over at Taofledermaus took a sheet of ballistic glass and went to town on it with an international buffet of slugs from around the world.
The sheet of glass weighs 38-pounds and is proof to .44 Magnum and runs $1,800 smackers.
The slugs of choice: an Italian DGS-12 Borra Proiettile game slug, a Soviet Poleva bullet from the 1980s, a Latvian Monolit-28 solid steel slug used for hunting boar, a Russian Leningradka-2 (you know Leningradka, da?) and a Federal Power-Shok deer slug for a control.
Pro tip: Don’t stand behind ballistic glass rated for .44 Mag and blow raspberries at a hombre with a scattergun.

Talib Kweli discusses gun culture, Hip Hop
Hip hop star Talib Kweli discusses the complexities of discussing race, guns and gun control in a recent interview with Spotify.
“I’m anti-violent and I’m anti-gun. I don’t own a gun. I don’t live a life that requires me to have a gun,” Kweli said.
“I can’t say that’s for everybody. I can’t speak on everybody’s situation. So while I am a proponent of not having guns, I think that there’s a bottom line or a reality that we can all agree on about the safety precautions. American culture is built on the gun,” he said.

As the clown craze continues to sweep the nation, a rapper by the name of Billionaire Black, let one creepy clown know he wasn’t exactly welcome on the streets of Chicago.
A 10-second clip shows the clown standing on the sidewalk before the local rapper points a gun at him from a car on the street.
“Look at this clown,” someone could be heard saying, followed by a myriad of colorful language.
Needless to say, the clown took off as soon as he saw the gun.

Playing the hits: Testing the old school .32ACP and .30 Carbine on gel (VIDEO)
Tim with the Military Arms Channel taps in some old platforms in dated calibers, giving them a round of ballistics testing with modern ammo.
The .32 ACP (7.65x17mm) was designed by John Moses Browning in 1899 for his FN1900 pistol and has been around for a long, long time. As you likely know, the .30 Carbine (7.62x33mm) was developed by Winchester from their 1900s era .32 WSL round just in time for World War II service.
While vintage, manufacturers are still making new rifles and pistols for these calibers.
Using Hornday and Underwood rounds, MAC goes in depth and even brings out a collectable Mauser pistol for the .32 trials.

Super slo-mo underwater explosions make a M-1000 look like a depth charge (VIDEO)
The Slow Mo Guys run some backyard water tests courtesy of a high speed camera, an aquarium and a handful of firecrackers.
Running at speeds between 28,000 fps and 120,000 fps, and with different exposures for comparison, they kind of nerd out on the camera stuff which is understandable because that’s their thing. However, the boom shots are pretty sweet, almost hypnotic, and are worth the price of admission.

Trick shooting a playing card via a spinning bicycle wheel (VIDEO)

We think he should try it with a Motocross bike next.

And let the October pumpkin demolition keep marching forward (VIDEO)
LeaSpeed6 is a registered nurse by trade but also enjoys NFA weapons, long walks on the beach, and pumpkin demolition.
In the above, she puts at least two of those to use, though the concept of using a suppressed Glock to set off binary marking compound-filled pumpkins is what some people would refer to as contradictory, but hey…it’s still fun.

Not even going to comment on the historical irony of the first shot being at a can of German-made Ballistol.

Video released of man in ‘shooting stance’ fatally shot by El Cajon police (VIDEO)
Following public outcry and days of civil unrest, the El Cajon Police Department released video Friday showing last week’s fatal encounter between two officers and a mentally ill man.
Alfred Olango, 38, was shot dead by police after he was acting erratically, then quickly plunged his hands into his front pockets before assuming a “shooting stance.” As it turned out, Olango didn’t have a gun but rather a vaping device which he held like a gun.

Miami Police: Stop telling kids we will jail them (VIDEO)
The Miami Police Department this week released a bi-lingual public service announcement urging parents to stop telling their children that cops will take them away for being bad.
The short clip, released via social media, has a female Spanish-speaking and a male English-speaking officer explain that, while it may be tempting to use police as a “bogeyman” of sorts to get kids to behave, it is counter-productive. They advise that, especially in a situation where a child is lost or separated from their family, they want youth to look to police as someone who is safe to approach.
“So parents think about this,” says the officer. “If your kid is ever in danger or lost, we don’t want them to be afraid of police officers. We want them to feel comfortable enough to come up and approach us, and ask for help.”

Bees and 5.56 won’t fit in an AR chamber at the same time (VIDEO)
This guy just encountered one honey of a jam while taking part in an AR training course when a bumble bee found its way into the chamber of his black rifle during the course of fire.
There is some language, because its the range, but in his defense he was able to get the gun broken down in the field and realize the problem–quickly fixed with a cleaning rod– within a minute or so after emergency action drills proved fruitless.
Cue the “If he had an AK…” crowd.

Man gets jolted while trying to steal Trump sign (VIDEO)
One supporter of presidential hopeful Donald Trump got fed up with his signs of support being stolen from his front lawn, so he booby trapped one to give the would-be thief a shock – literally.
The Trump man captured video of a man who he called “Mr. Blue Sweatshirt” casually strolling down the lane with what appeared to a baby stroller. Ten minutes later, Mr. Blue Sweatshirt returned to take the sign, a decision he likely regretted instantaneously.
