Meth lab explodes in government building (VIDEO)

Mon, 07/27/2015 - 15:12

An explosion at the National Institute of Standards and Technology building in Gaithersburg, Maryland, last weekend led to the discovery of what appeared to be a lab where methamphetamine was being manufactured. Tell-tale signs included pseudoephedrine, drain cleaner and a recipe for meth.

A federal security officer, who incidentally resigned the day after the 25-foot explosion, suffered non-life threatening burns on his hands and arms.

Local law enforcement, along with the DEA, are investigating the incident.

Inside El Chapo’s secret Mexican prison escape tunnel (VIDEO)

Mon, 07/27/2015 - 08:47

Vice News traveled south of the border and dropped down the most famous underground tunnel in the world– that used by a Mexican drug lord to vacate the premises.

The figurehead of the Sinaloa cartel, drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, released himself on his own recognizance on July 11, via a tunnel from Mexico’s only maximum-security prison in Mexico.

It took him a year to arrange his self-parole and Vice went to Altiplano prison– where they found a different tale than what the local media have been reporting.

In short, a couple guys with a spoon didn’t pull this one off.
