Tactical AR-15 build: Upper receiver gear
My choices were all based on personal preference and price. Where I could get a good deal from various online or local retailers, I jumped at it. Cost savings was important to me; I’m on a budget, but I also wanted quality gear.
...Marine engineers show how to make a door, breacher style (VIDEO)
A group of Marines with III MEF walk you through the the easiest way to make a door when needed through the proper use of some demolition charge and shock tube.
The team, a group of breachers from the 3rd Marine Logistics Group, 9th Engineer Support Battalion explain the the organization of a team to include the breacher, assistant breacher and the blanket man (and we don’t mean Linus) and how they work together to knock in a door or window, or break through a wall.

...Lead on lead violence: Will a lead plate stop a .22? (VIDEO)
The Backyard Scientist roped the Taofledermaus crew into testing the ballistic properties of a 5/8 inch lead plate against a wide range of .22 caliber projectiles.
Perhaps the most traditional of ammunition types, the .22 rimfire round, typically with a unjacketed lead bullet, has been around for something like 150 years.
Team ‘maus took up the challenge to see if a .22 would could penetrate a 7.5-pound soft lead plate. Tested rounds include CCI Mini Mags, Stingers and, just to keep it interesting, a Crosman pellet powered by a .22 nail gun blank.
Makes sense.

The guys at GY6vids took advantage of having an Arsenal AF2011-A1, the twin-barreled Italian longslide, and went to town on a block of ballistics gel.
The AF2011 was seen by many as a gimmick gun or a novelty when introduced in 2012 but now that they have landed on our shores, these huge hoglegs, which fire two rounds with every pull of the trigger, seem to be growing on the market.
And with that in mind, the GY6 crew put one to the gel test with some of the most popular .45 ACP defense loads out there to include Hornady CD, G2research RIP, Winchester PDX1 and Federal Hydra Shok.
If you are into seeing some major jiggles, check out the above.
