Letting your Dragon’s Breath out for Independence Day (VIDEO)

Mon, 07/06/2015 - 11:00

In honor of the country’s birthday, TNOutdoors9 loaded up a Mossberg 935 with a handful of Dragon’s Breath shells and went to town on some steel plates.

Dragon’s Breath shotgun shells are filled with Zirconium alloy powder pressed into pellets or flakes. When the primer is struck, the Zirconium ignites and is propelled from of the barrel, turning your shotgun into a short-range flamethrower.

With that in mind, they likely are a liability rich pitfall if used in home defense but for a great pyrotechnics display, especially when used at night or on special occasions.

Such as lighting up your backyard range on the 4th of July.

Guns with legs

Mon, 07/06/2015 - 10:00

One of the favorite arguments among gun control advocates is to claim that gun violence in Latin America is in significant part a fault of America’s gun laws.  Surely, we’re all familiar with the claims that swirled around the Fast and Furious scandal, and the history of our War on Drugs, often imposed on countries to the south, is well-known.  A recent article, “Guns and gangs and the sad role U.S. lax gun laws play,” repeats the assertion that we have a major share of the blame for crimes, including homicide, in Central and South America.

How many Stephen King books will an AK47 round go through? (VIDEO)

Mon, 07/06/2015 - 06:51

Following statements by King, one of the best known horror authors in modern history, on gun control, MattV2099 and company decided to see how ballistically resistant his works are.

On the heels of last month’s church shooting in Charleston, South Carolina, King shared his unsolicited thoughts on America’s relationship with firearms.

“Too many closed minds on gun control. Worse, far too many PROUDLY closed minds. Meanwhile, the American shooting gallery remains open,” King dropped on Twitter.

Speaking of shooting galleries, Youtuber MattV2009 examined how many of the author’s books it takes to stop a bullet, leaving the paraphrased question being, is the Dark Tower collection mightier than the 7.62×39?

American Rebel Andy Ross celebrates the 4th of July in style with a .50 cal Ma Deuce and a car full of dynamite at the Knob Creek Gun Range in West Point, Kentucky.

I’ve been working with Andy recently on a new tv show. It’s going to be spectacular. Andy has starred in his own hunting show American Rebel on the Sportsman Channel for the last eleven years. We visited our good friends at the Knob Creek Gun Range in West Point, Kentucky to film this segment. Porter Howell of Little Texas played the guitar.

You can stay up to date with Andy by liking his Facebook page.
