Hickok45 does ‘1911 Day’ with a Smith and Wesson TA E-Series (VIDEO)
Nothing is more old school than a good American-made 1911 .45ACP and everyone’s favorite Jedi master of the gun review, Hickok45, gives one an in depth workout.
Smith’s Model SW1911TA (Tactical Accessory Rail) pistol is part of their enhanced “E” Series guns that feature fish scale scalloped slide serrations, stainless or scandium frames, chamfered and recessed muzzles ad other things you don’t typically see on your average longslide.
And, while they have been out for a couple years, its Hick’s first time with one and he seems delighted.

...Making tiny holes with the super quiet Little Puff 22 suppressor (VIDEO)
The guys at Silencer Shop got their hands on a Underground Tactical Little Puff rim fire suppressor which has to be (not) heard to really be appreciated.
The Silencer Shop guys go out of their way to test these suppressors to the same MIL-STD-1474D standard that the military uses to measure potential hearing damage from noise. They use a verified Bruel and Kjaer 2270 sound meter (you do know B&K, don’t you?) placed one meter to the left of the muzzle and 1.6 meters off the ground.
And the results? Well, watch the video, but you may want to turn your volume up so you don’t miss it.

...Action Figure Therapy myth-busts on suppressors (VIDEO)
The plastic heroes at AFT teamed up with Advanced Armament to bring you the basics about the bonuses and (perceived) hassles of getting in on the kick ass experience that is silencer ownership and use.
With nearly 600,000 suppressors currently in circulation and the items growing in both acceptance and popularity, they have been the subject of several new laws this year that have seen both Vermont and Minnesota repeal long-standing bans to the devices.
In short, there are fewer and fewer reasons not to seek out a little quiet time.
