A soldier who shot up a Texas Army base in April had nothing in his background that would account for him committing such acts of violence, according to a 110-page redacted Department of Defense report released Friday.

The Secretary of the Army released a 110-page redacted report on Friday detailing his investigation into the April 2 mass shooting at Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas, that left three people dead and 16 wounded.

Recently, I took my older kids to the range.  Before going I made sure they could recite safety rules by rote.  Of course, I’ve drilled safety into them since they first held squirt guns (because that’s where it needs to start).  Suffice it to say they know to keep their fingers off the trigger until they’re ready to shoot and to not point at anyone or anything they’re not willing to kill (squirt guns aside).

At the 2015 SHOT Show in Las Vegas patrons saw all that Glock has to offer, had a meet and greet with Glock spokesman Gunny R. Lee Ermey, and brushed up against the Motor City Madman.

This year Glock released the Modular Optic System, a platform that allows shooters to mount their preferred reflex sights to their pistol for better target acquisition.

The system will be available for Glock Gen 4 models G34, G35 and G41, and a little later a Glock 40 Gen 4 in MOS configuration will be available — a long slide pistol for 10mm lovers.
