Court documents in Sheldon Silver corruption case
New York Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, long a driving force behind the adoption of gun control legislation, was arrested by the FBI Thursday on charges of taking $4 million in bribes and kickbacks since 2000. Below are the 35-page Criminal Complaint filed by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York as well as the 69-page Seizure affidavit. For the full story click here.

To my knowledge, the tradition of tapping the magazine to ensure all the rounds are towards the back end of the magazine comes from the military. That’s where I first learned it. Drill instructors and senior NCOs told us to tap our mags to make sure the 5.56mm NATO rounds were flush with the backside of the 30 round magazines. They often demonstrated by hitting the backside of the mags on our Kevlar helmets.

Air Force vet finds hateful note left on her car (VIDEO)
When Air Force veteran Mary Claire Caine returned to her car outside of a Wilmington, North Carolina, Harris Teeter during a recent trip to grab some groceries, she was shocked to find a note left on her car which questioned her decision to use the parking space reserved for veterans. But what’s more, the note was penned by a fellow veteran.
