...Body cam footage of fatally shot Flagstaff officer released (VIDEO)
The Flagstaff Police Department released video from the body cam of Officer Tyler Stewart, who was fatally shot while responding to a domestic disturbance call last month.
The chilling video shows the conversation between Stewart and Robert Smith, which only lasted a couple of minutes, before Smith pulled from his pocket a .22-caliber revolver and fatally shot Stewart.
Smith then later took his own life.

In June of 2006, three detainees were found dead inside their cells at Guantanamo Bay. Their deaths were ruled suicide by hanging, but one man, who was one guard that night at Camp Delta, has come forward and claims what appears to have been suicides were actually murders.
Former Army Staff Sergeant Joseph Hickman claims the detainees were killed by CIA agents and their deaths were part of a cover-up. Hickman, who spent years investigating the deaths, detailed his findings in the book “Murder at Camp Delta.”

Opinion: When police actions “shock the conscience”
Many years ago the use of force standard for police officers was judged in court on actions that “shocked the conscience”. This was based on wording used in a US Supreme Court decision made in the early 50s (Rochin v California). Simply stated, the standard held that if the police officers actions shocked the conscience, or in other words, were appalling and disgusting to the mindset of the judge or jury members, then the officer’s actions were in error.
