VA quizzing vets about gun ownership in exchange for free locks (VIDEO)
Some vets are coming forward with reports that the Veterans Affairs Administration is sending out letters offering up to four free gun locks in return for information about their firearms.

Officers Dominique Perez and Keith Sandy are the first Albuquerque officers to be charged with murder following an on-duty shooting in at least 50 years. Perez and Sandy opened fire on James Boyd, a homeless man with a history of mental illness and armed with two knives, after a four-hour standoff with as many as 20 officers. Boyd, who had been camping illegally in the Sandia foothills, died the following day.

Cornell is under arrest under federal charges of attempting to kill officers and employees of the United States and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence in connection to a plot to attack the U.S. Capitol. More than 40 years after the last case was officially closed, the United States government has now released rare microfilms of UFO research conducted between 1947 to 1969 for the public to view online, for free, at their own disposal. Previously, the hard copy data could only be viewed at the National Archives in Washington, D.C.
...Elementary school sends letter home informing parents of gun found on campus
Parents from one Augusta, Georgia, elementary school received a letter earlier this week informing them of an incident involving a first-grader who brought a loaded .22-caliber handgun to school, thinking it was a toy. However, some parents are upset because the letter only mentions a “weapon” and makes no reference to a gun.
