Gun Haters Target Chris Christie over Magazine Veto
Our enemies found 100 people with nothing to do, or so the media claims, I wasn’t there.
GREENWICH, Conn. — They stood more than 100 strong, lining the road with signs chastising Governor Christie for vetoing an ammunition limit bill.
The peaceful protesters stood quietly for about an hour, then chanted “Not One More” — a reference to the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting — just as the vehicle transporting the governor arrived at the exclusive Belle Haven community, where he was raising money for the Connecticut GOP.
Indian Tribe Discriminates Against Ted Nugent
It’s OK for comedians to make fun of George W. Bush, but if Ted calls Obama a subhuman mongrel, then that’s too far or so they tell us:
WORLEY, Idaho (AP) — A Native American tribe has canceled an Aug. 4 concert by Ted Nugent at its casino.
Kansas Paper Attacks Second Amendment Protection Act
Liberals are freaking out over “a state law that exempts firearms manufactured in Kansas from all federal regulations.” Here’s part of their editorial in LJ World
The law declares that Kansas-only guns are exempt from any federal regulations. So what, if any, regulations will those firearms be subject to? Will Kansas manufacturers now be allowed to make guns without serial numbers, making it difficult to trace any gun involved in a crime? Can they legally make guns that can elude mental detectors or other security devices? Can such guns be sold without the background checks required by federal law?
Eliminating federal regulations without setting any state regulations on Kansas-only guns poses a significant safety issue for Kansas residents. However, setting and enforcing a set of Kansas-only regulations likely would represent a new expense for state taxpayers.
Cop fires gun accidentally
When a civilian suffers a gun accident, liberals want to ban guns, when a cop screws up, nobody cares
Tampa, Florida — Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is reviewing an incident where a deputy’s gun accidentally went off in a restroom. According to the Tampa Bay Times, the deputy was working off-duty at Tampa Bay Downs of Friday. When he went to use the restroom his gun went off when he removed his gun belt to set it down. No one else was in the restroom at the time and no one was injured. Source: http://www.wtsp.com/story/news/local/2014/07/19/hillsborough-county-deputy/12878491/
I wonder if the trigger got attached to the gun belt which would explain the accidental firing? An easy solution might be not to keep a round in the chamber, but that puts you at a disadvantage if you had to shoot a bad guy right away.
Beat Jail with Dialysis
Hey Criminals, got caught with an illegal gun? Then you’re gonna love this story:
LOCKPORT – A Niagara Falls man who undergoes dialysis treatments three times a week was placed on five years’ probation Friday for illegal gun possession.
Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas could have imposed a four-year prison term on David E. Adams, 48, of Whitney Avenue, who pleaded guilty in April to a reduced charge of attempted third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Police raided his home May 15, 2013, and found the loaded .22-caliber handgun, assorted prescription pills and $1,356 in cash, which Adams agreed to forfeit Friday.

Bloomberg and Cuomo must be so proud right now. I guess the State decided that dialysis is expensive and didn’t want to pay for it. Oh well, I’m sure he won’t be caught with another illegal gun, right?
Gun laws don’t apply to football players
Attention criminals, if you’re going to commit crimes, make sure you play professional football:
Children’s Firearm Marketing Safety Act must not pass
While the Supreme Court has ruled that advertising and marketing speech does not enjoy the same protection as Free Speech, the following anti-gun marketing proposal goes too far, and even the ACLU should be outraged:
Democrat — Rep. Robin Kelly from Illinois introduced a bill in the House of Representatives to ban guns designed specifically for children, gun-related clothing for children, and cartoon mascots for gun companies. For the children . . .
The proposed bill, entitled the “Children’s Firearm Marketing Safety Act,” includes the following provisions regarding the marketing and sales of firearms:
(1) A prohibition on the use of cartoon characters to promote firearms and firearm products.
(2) A prohibition on firearm brand name merchandise marketed for children (such as hats, t-shirts, and stuffed animals).
(3) A prohibition on the use of firearm marketing campaigns with the specific intent to appeal to children.
(4) A prohibition on the manufacturing of a gun with colors or designs that are specifically designed with the purpose to appeal to children.
(5) A prohibition on the manufacturing of a gun intended for use by children that does not clearly and conspicuously note the risk posed by the firearm by labeling somewhere visible on the firearm...

House passes Amendment to Restore the Second Amendment in DC
The Blaze reported:
The House of Representatives passed an amendment Wednesday that would prevent the District of Columbia from spending funds to enforce local gun laws — including registration and fingerprint requirements for gun owners.
Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) offered the amendment to the House appropriations bill which directly controls the spending for D.C., and the freshman representative saw this as a finite window to address gun rights.
“The genesis was the opportunity — it was a limitation amendment on the appropriations bill. This amendment process gives rank and file members the opportunity to introduce legislation if they can’t get it to the floor through committee, so this was an opportunity for me to bring up the gun issue,” Massie told TheBlaze.
During his floor speech, Massie noted the startling gun violence statistics in the nation’s capitol.
“There is only one year after D.C.’s handgun ban went into effect in 1977 where its murder rate was as low as it was prior to the ban. D.C.’s murder rate rose dramatically relative to other cities, with its murder rate ranking either number 1 or 2 among the 50 most populous U.S. cities for half the time that the ban was in effect and in the top for two-thirds of the...
Lawsuit to legalize buying guns across state lines
I’m happy buying guns in my own State, but I see the logic of this lawsuit:
SHERMAN, TX — As of today, if you live in Oklahoma and you see a good deal on a handgun in Texas — you aren’t allowed to buy it.
You can currently buy rifles, shotguns and other long guns anywhere, but federal law prohibits selling handguns to anyone who doesn’t live in your state, but that could be changing.
Red River Firearms in Sherman sells just about every kind of gun you could want — and owner Jason Webb — is a stickler when it comes to identification.
“Not just somebody can come in and say yes, my name is John Smith and I live over here,” Webb said.
He said he’s thorough when it comes to checking id’s because he faces harsh penalties if he sells handguns to the wrong person, and in this case, the wrong person is anyone who is not a Texan.
“You can’t sell the firearm by federal regulation until they change their drivers license to residency of Texas,” Webb said.
An Arlington gun store owner aims to change the law, filing a lawsuit Tuesday in federal court, saying the law costs him business, handguns are quintessential for self defense, and...
